Do named drivers get no claims discount with direct line?

Drivers who are listed in your policy and who remain free of claims may be eligible for a discount if they take out a policy in their name with us. If your policy ends with us, the designated driver can continue to use their designated driver discount as long as they receive a quote from us within 90 days. If the insurance policy is with us, then yes. We recognize designated drivers' history of non-claims, so we'll consider how many years you haven't filed a claim under someone else's policy.

You can choose to offer your car insurance policy additional benefits, such as legal coverage for cars or discounted protection with no claims. Here's a list of the additional benefits and how they work. If, for some reason, you're not insured for two years or more, any no-claim discounts you earned with your last insurance policy will normally be lost and you'll return to zero the next time you take out coverage. If you have a minimum 4-year no-claims discount, you can choose to protect it with your Direct Line car insurance policy.

Since its launch, Direct Line states that it has been committed to giving priority to customers and has subsequently expanded its insurance offering to include home, pet, travel and life insurance. Direct Line is one of the largest car insurers in the United Kingdom and offers a wide range of policies with additional optional extras. If you need to make a claim on your Direct Line car insurance policy, you can do so online or by calling 0345 303 1714. Direct Line serves younger drivers with its DrivePlus insurance policy, in addition to offering a multi-car discount to households with more than one car. You can choose between comprehensive car insurance or 26% fire car insurance with Direct Line.

You can add fault coverage to your car insurance policy with Direct Line starting at an additional 25€ per month. There are no administration fees if you want to make a change to your Direct Line car insurance policy. Car insurance against fire and theft by third parties is less comprehensive, since it only covers damage to third-party vehicles or your vehicle claims related to fire and theft. In addition, you can also insure more than one vehicle in a multi-vehicle insurance policy or choose a DrivePlus telematic policy for drivers under 25 years of age.
